Meet Amyra Chetan Chavan

Amyra Chavan is an 12-year-old reader, author, and theatre actor.
She has devoured many tales, from timeless classics like “Little
Women” to the modern myths of Percy Jackson. She has written a
short story, “The River Spirit,” which was published in her school's
Eunoia magazine. She is a member of her school drama club, and
has participated in Raell Padamsee ACE acting workshop. She
believes staunchly that stories should contain something more than
action: they should contain substance and feeling, two ingredients
which even the simplest of true stories contain, and that fiction
authors should add to their book recipes. Deeply inspired by the works of celebrated authors, Amyra aspires to
contribute meaningfully to the literary world. She envisions her
writing as a bridge between imagination and
understanding—encouraging young minds to believe in themselves,
think deeply, and feel connected to the grandeur of nature and the
richness of the world around them. With a heart full of curiosity and
a mind eager to express, Amyra hopes her words will ignite
inspiration in others, just as books have done for her.
